Garage sales have gotten so expensive lately.

Maybe I'm the only one who feels like this, but lately I'll pull up to a garage sale expecting to find some random things for a couple bucks, only to see a used item priced like it's brand-new in-store.

That's why my latest garage sale find in Belvidere felt so refreshing.

My boyfriend hat gotten into the habit of texting me whenever he walks past garage sales in his neighborhood.  He'll send me pictures of things he thinks I'd like, and considering I love finding weird stuff for my apartment, I obviously encourage this behavior.

Recently, he spotted something that immediately knew I needed: a Plinko game.

I've been talking about carnival games lately, so this was basically made for me.  He sent me the picture, and I knew I needed it.

The best part?  The family selling it wasn't trying to get top dollar for it.  They only wanted $3. THREE WHOLE DOLLARS.

A Plinko game like this can sell for around $100 depending on the size and type, so to see one at a garage sale for just a few bucks felt like an actual garage sale deal.

And now it's in my apartment.

It's not even that I needed it, but the price was so good I couldn't let him pass by the sale without buying it.

I mean, garage sales are supposed to be getting rid of things you don't want anymore and letting someone else enjoy it for little to no cost.  Garage sale prices aren't what they used to be, I swear!
