You almost have to feel bad for laughing but the reality is that taking your child or infant to get an x-ray is not a pleasant experience. Often times they can't lay still, or it's so terrifying for them that you have to intervene and hold them down.

This bizarre x-ray machine is called the Pigg-o-stat and was introduced into the medical field in the 1960s. Manufacturers describe it as 'an all-in-one pediatric immobilization device designed for positioning infants and young children for an appropriate x-ray without significant complications.'
