Boo Bash Weekend Returns to Carlson Ice Arena in Loves Park

Halloween weekend doesn’t have to mean just trick-or-treating door-to-door. Rockford Park District’s Carlson Ice Arena and Sapora Playworld are bringing back Boo Bash Weekend 2025 with indoor fun the whole family can enjoy.

Mark your calendar for Friday, October 31, and Saturday, November 1, at 4150 N. Perryville Rd. in Loves Park.

Frosty Friday: Skating, Costumes, and Candy

Kick things off on Halloween night with Frosty Friday, running from 7–9 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes skate rental, a public ice skating session, and music from a live DJ. Kids (and parents!) can join the costume party, score some candy, and fuel up with food specials available for purchase.

Skate and Play on Saturday

On Saturday, November 1, from 1–3 p.m., families can enjoy the Skate and Play Special for $13 per person. Admission includes ice skating with skate rental and entry to Sapora Playworld for kids 12 and under. A meal deal will also be available for purchase.

A Safe Spin on Halloween Fun

Let’s be honest: skating indoors at Carlson Ice Arena is way safer than dodging cracked sidewalks in the dark. Plus, the guaranteed candy haul might just beat knocking on doors in the cold.
