Hot diggity dog, July is shaping up to be a fun filled month with fireworks, fans and one of my favorite things- food.

How did I not know that I share my birthday month (sorry, shameless plug to let you know the day I was brought into this world is coming up) with National Hot Dog month? This can't go unrecognized; we must celebrate.

Bring on the chocolate cake and hot dogs, because according to WREX, Portillo's is throwing a week long celebration to honor National Hot Dog month with two hot dogs for $5.

Starting July 16th through the 22nd, you can get two dogs for $5 and the promotion is available for dine-in, drive-through, online; even delivery.
