Do you want to be on Chicago Fire but not just as an "extra?"
What if there was a slightly more elevated opportunity on the show?

Chicago Fire Is Looking for Featured Extras
Apparently there is, and it's called a featured extra. I have no clue what that exactly entails, but it sounds a bit more involved.
As in, featured extras might be given specific actions to perform in front of the camera, or, like Chicago Fire Extras mentioned, sit in the front row of a wedding as the bride's mother, react near an accident scene, or hand paperwork to an actor.
What Is a Featured Extra on Chicago Fire?
That's different from being a regular extra, although featured extras get the exact same number of lines: none. Still, they play a bigger role in the production.
The best is that featured extras also get paid more than regular extras, like $165 compared to an extra rate of $136.40. Both types of extras receive time-and-a-half after eight hours of work.

Chicago Fire Featured Extras Get Paid More
The last cool bit is that your role as a featured extra comes straight from the director, who decides based on the photos they are given, so casting agencies like Chicago Fire Extras want current, real photos rather than professionally done headshots.
The good news is that Chicago Fire Extras is announcing casting news for the upcoming season shot in Chicago, so if you want in, follow them on Facebook.
