Chicago Lakefront Parking Lot To Host Drive-In Concerts
Pop-up drive-in concerts will be held at a parking lot on the lakefront in Chicago.
One thing I really miss this summer is concerts. I had so many planned for this year. Now, I'm stuck watching them on the internet. Don't get me wrong, that's okay, but it's just not the same thing.
Is there a way, some could possibly happen? The answer is yes. Since drive-in movies have gone over so well, why not a drive-in concert. A few concert promoters have tried and it's worked out pretty well.
Each car gets its own area. Of course, with social distance from others. You can stay in your vehicle or set-up a little tailgate. You can't get up close or near other fans, but this is better than nothing.
According to timeout.com,
"Live music returned to Chicago's lakefront, thanks to a new pop-up venue. Hosted in a parking lot just west of the Adler Planetarium, Lakeshore Drive-In launched last week with a trio of concerts featuring local artists."
I'm very familiar with that place. I've tailgated there before Bears games many times. It a great location. Especially, in the summer.

I love the idea. I'm definitely going to plan to check one out.
