Illinois Man Wins $1M on $10 Scratch-Off Ticket

I wish I was writing this about myself.  A Chicago man walked into a Mobil gas station and walked out $10 million richer.  How lucky!

It's not every day you go to your local gas station to grab a pop, bag of chips, and a lotto ticket to wind up millions of dollars richer.  When it does happen, I can only imagine you feel like the luckiest person on the planet... which you are.

In the West Ridge neighborhood, someone bought a $10 Red Hot Millions scratch off ticket not knowing they'd be living the good life just a short time later.  His name is  Ashur Al Rahib!

Ashur frequents this Mobil gas station all the time, but the day he became a multi-millionaire, he let the store clerk pick the ticket for him.  This is the kind of luck we all dream about, right?!

Ashur returns to share the news that he won $10 million, and told the store clerk, "you gave me good luck."  Hopefully, Ashur shares a few bucks with him as a thank you for bringing him good fortune.  This gas station is actually known for having a lucky streak lately—they just had a $25,000 winner, $50,000 winner, and now this $10M winner.

When asked what he plans on doing with the money, Ashur said he's going to open a meat market, bakery, and donate to his church.  Wow, the Illinois Lottery made the right person filthy rich.  Oh, and that Mobil gas station gets $10,000 as a bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Plenty of Illinoisans have been lucky with the lottery!  A woman in Roscoe won $500,000 on a scratch off and someone in Cortland won $349M.  Let me be next!
