Chicago Officials Cancel Lollapalooza & Apparently, Summer
At this point, we have no reason to leave the house.
For me, it was the only thing left. Lollapalooza was our last best chance to do something big this summer.
Now, Lollapalooza is officially not happening in Chicago. Truthfully, it was a long shot and at best a very dicey situation for anyone that would consider attending.
The City of Chicago knows what's up so they essentially canceled any large event in the city through Labor Day.
That means the Taste of Chicago, Chicago Air and Water Show and of course, Lollapalooza all got the hook.
Since we can't get a live music festival in 2020, NBC says "Lollapalooza will honor its annual summer tradition by bringing Chicago, and the world, together around a common bond of community, civic engagement and, of course, live music in a weekend-long livestream event July 30–August 2, 2020. Details to be announced next month."
