Growing up in Illinois my entire life, I experienced many road trips all over Illinois and Wisconsin. Mainly Wisconsin because my parents had a camper that we'd take to Amboy to camp every weekend in the summer. We also camped at Warrens Wisconsin! That was insanely fun. I miss those camping days.

I think every kid in Illinois can relate when I say Wisconsin Dells was part of their childhood, heavily. Family trips, summer weekend getaways, and the best lazy river around. It's the Waterpark Capital of the World, so of course it was a kid's dream to experience it once in their life! You got bragging rights if you told friends you were going. They'd be so jealous!

Inside the Dells, one destination was a must-stay for so many families: Kalahari Resort. Walking through the doors felt like entering a whole new world. Giant indoor waterpark, arcade games, wave pool, a ferris wheel... so many reasons to love the Kalahari!

Another defining childhood memory? Mt. Olympus Theme Park. This was my spot! It felt like it was larger than life, all the rollercoasters, indoor coasters, waterpark, and the underground rollercoaster was nuts. I've survived that ride a thousand times, insane to think it went under the parking lot!
