You know we all have some sort of skeleton in the closet... but do you know why we use this phrase.
I don't know why each week I'm surprised at the meanings behind these phrases, but I am.
This week's cliche is something out of an episode of Desperate Housewives. According to, List 25, the skeleton was a person being kept in the closet because of his illness.
