Construction To Begin On IL-251 Near Spring Creek Road

Those who travel on 251 under Spring Creek Road will want to allow extra time while overhead sign structures are replaced. Construction crews will be working on that portion of IL-251 through Friday, according to IDOT.

The southbound outside lane of IL 251 north of Spring Creek Road will be closed on December 10 and 11.

The northbound outside lane of IL 251 south of Spring Creek Road will be closed on December 12 and 13.

All ramps will be open at the IL 251 and Spring Creek Road interchange.

Use alternative routes if possible and always pay close attention to crews in work zones.
