These four minutes were supposed to be a part of an episode of Friends in 2001, but was replaced after what happened on September 11.

We will all always remember where we were on September 11. We could talk about it for hours, but there's also something that I remember from that year, and it was related to the fall TV schedule.

I remember that the Emmy Awards were about a week after the attacks and all the women wore pants, or more casual dresses than in the past, and I also remember that fall shows delayed coming back on the air.

My favorite TV show was Friends and I was anxiously awaiting the show's return. This scene might be part of the reason it took so long for the show to come back on the air.

This scene dealt with Monica and Chandler going on their honeymoon, and references a bomb in the airport. Was the scene funny? Sure. But it wasn't the funniest Friends scene I've ever seen and I absolutely understand why it was cut.

I do recall the portion with Joey and Phoebe as still being in the episode, but it was re-shot to fit a new script after this scene was cut.

The scene was from episode 8.02, "The One Where Rachel Tells."
