I guess you can file this under "The More You Know."

Because up until yesterday, I had no idea you could actually get a 15 minute COVID-19 rapid test in Rockford.

While I had heard of those types of tests, for the most part, anyone I knew who needed one took the long and drawn out, "get tested and wait 5-6 days for a result" test.

The other reason being, my family and I have been really good about sheltering-in-place and masking up when necessary.

However, as a precaution, I needed to take a COVID-19 test. While trying to find a testing site near me, I stumbled upon a story from WREX.

I called Physicians Immediate Care in Rockford asked a few questions and cruised over early in the morning for a rapid test. I was in and out in 15 minutes.

A few things you need to know: Physicians Immediate Care is apparently the only clinic in Illinois you can currently grab a rapid test. In case you were wondering, there are five Physicians Immediate Care clinics in Rockford.

A few more things you should know: I was told Physicians Immediate Care has limited supplies when it comes to the rapid test so get there early in the morning to make sure you can get one. The last thing, there are a few things you'll need to qualify for in order to get a rapid test. Meaning, not everyone will qualify for a rapid test so your mileage may vary.
