I had no idea that this was even a thing but if you look hard enough on the internet, you'll find it.

A conversation with my wife a few days ago prompted me to Google whether or not you can make hard-boiled eggs in an air fryer.

I kind of wondered out loud whether or not you could pull off a hard-boiled egg in an air fryer and my wife responded "How can you? How are you supposed to boil the egg if there's no water?" I thought that totally makes sense but I decided to see if anyone else tried to make hard-boiled eggs in an air fryer.

That's when I stumbled upon recipe-diaries.com and a post titled Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs.

I just place some cold eggs in the air fryer basket, set the timer to 16 minutes and temperature 250 and let the air fryer cook them. So easy and simple to make.

I used a metal Instant Pot accessory to keep the egg from touching the bottom of the air fryer basket. After I hit the 16-minute mark, I took the egg out and covered it in ice.

Believe it or not, using the air fryer to make a hard-boiled egg actually worked. If you have an air fryer at home and like hard-boiled eggs, give it a try, it's probably the easiest way to make one.
