Rockford City Market Wraps Up Season With Youth Entrepreneur Showcase

Rockford City Market is coming to a close for the season this Friday and they're featuring the youngest entrepreneurs in the Stateline.

Fall is officially here which means it's time to start saying goodbye to some of our favorite summer traditions in Rockford.

One of the biggest traditions we have here is Rockford City Market, and this Friday will be the final City Market night of the year.

It sort of seems too soon, but that could be because this summer's weather has been pretty wacky, sending us inside on a few Fridays because of the rain. Maybe you haven't been able to enjoy the Market like you usually do, in that case, make sure to stop by on Friday September 27.

Not only can you catch a few summer market vibes before they close up shop for the season, but this Friday is also the Kids Market during the Rockford City Market.

That means there will be a bunch of young business operators selling their handmade items inside City Market from 4:30 to 7:30pm.

Rockford City Market's Facebook page says we'll be able to find: art, jewelry, lip gloss, purses, keychains, macrame, stickers, magnets, baked goods, buttons, charms and more.

It's pretty great to see the city supporting young entrepreneurs and giving them a taste of what going into business for yourself is all about.
