This is some Onion level stuff right here and it happened not too far from Rockford.

Saukvalley.com says Joseph Caldwell, 25, from Dixon was "arrested for criminal trespass to a residence." However, it's not what he stole or was planning on stealing that makes this story so crazy.

Caldwell, according to am1460wixn.com, was caught by Dixon Police "coming out of the kitchen with a plate of food" and later "Caldwell had written a message to the homeowner on a refrigerator dry erase board and had changed the cat’s litter box."

He was arrested for doing what anyone who's ever owned a cat despises the most?

It's a gross job but you have to admit if a stranger is willing to come to your house to change the cat litter box on his own you allow that person into your house every time.
