6 Must-Have Items To Keep In Your Car During Winter In Illinois
Driving when it's snowing outside makes me nervous already, but driving on slippery roads conditions with the chance of hitting black ice is even more terrifying. That's why we can never be too prepared when a snowstorm arrives.
I like to have a variety of essentials in my car at all times in case I swerve off the road or get stranded in the cold for a long period of time. Here's my must-have list!
Must-Have Items To Keep In Your Car During Winter In Illinois
Ice scraper and snow brush - don't be like me and procrastinate buying these. I've been using my coat sleeve to clean my windshield lol.
Lots of blankets - Imagine you only have a small coat on and your car breaks down in a blizzard. You'll be so happy you have blankets to warm you up!
Snacks and water - This is just because I like to snack when I drive, but it's a win-win if you're hungry and stuck on the road. Nobody wants to get hangry!
A shovel - yes, keep a shovel in your car.
You really never know when it'll come in handy for you or someone else stuck in snow.
Extra layers - Gloves, scarves, coats, and tall socks.
Stop by Dollar Tree and grab some cheap winter accessories to keep in your car. Thank me later!
First Aid Kit - Of course this is an absolute must.
When temps are freezing, your fingers will feel like they're falling off and probably start bleeding. First Aid Kit... always.
Seriously, be prepared for anything Mother Nature throws in your path this winter. You can never be too cautious or overly prepared during these winter months!
