After going to Country Thunder in Wisconsin—surrounded by food and retail vendors, beer tastings, and live music—I think I might've found the most expensive turkey leg in the Midwest.

The entire time I was at this festival, I always had some kind of food in my hand.  I started my food adventure with a delicious pretzel, followed by a walking taco, and then a dirt ice cream sundae from the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream truck (which I didn't know even existed!).

Then came the moment I was waiting for: the giant turkey leg, a must-have tradition every time I go to any fair or amusement park.

Don't underestimate my ability to devour a giant turkey leg.  I’ve had my fair share of $15 ones at Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida.  They're not as nearly as expensive as the one I got my hands on at Country Thunder Wisconsin.  Trust me.

Wisconsin has taken it to a whole new level—$25 for a turkey leg! WHAT?!

Despite the price, I couldn’t resist.  Sometimes you gotta splurge on the little things in life (no matter how expensive it is, right?).  I swiped my card, twitched just for a moment, and let me tell you, it was worth every damn penny; juicy, flavorful, and so massive it felt like I was holding a medieval weapon over a piece of food!

Seriously, LOOK at this thing! It’s bigger than my entire being.
