This popular attraction in Illinois is getting ready to re-open for the summer and debut its massive new displays.

The Hidden Gem Auto Museum Of Roscoe, Illinois

If you're somewhat familiar with Roscoe, Illinois, you would never expect an amazing museum like this one to be located in a little town. Historic Auto Attractions is famous in the world of cars and historic memorabilia but is more of a hidden gem in the Rockford area.

I have been there a couple of times and really enjoy it. Their collection is huge and includes some very unique items. It blows me away every time I've stopped by. My favorite displays are the Hollywood TV and movie vehicles and props though the historic section is very impressive too.

According to historicautoattractions.com,

More than just a display of historic automobiles, it's a journey through time!

Over 75 historic autos displayed in 36,000 sq. ft., including the world's largest collection of presidential and world leaders limousines, John Dillinger's getaway car, Elvis Presley's personal car, Indy cars, TV Land cars and movie cars such as the Batmobile.

The museum adds new vehicles and exhibits on a regular basis and also has many WW II artifacts from both Allied and Axis powers on display, including uniforms, maps, swords, knives, flags, banners and more.

Historic Auto Attraction's Grand Opening Of Huge Expansion

Each year, the museum is only open for a limited time which is Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day. This past offseason, they added a huge addition to their building for more exhibits. The grand opening is this weekend.

The re-opening weekend is Friday, May 27th through Monday, May 30th. Times are 10 am to 5 pm. Come to see the new displays of items never before viewed by visitors of the museum. For more info, HERE.

New Additions To Historic Auto Attractions

The museum added 50,000 square feet of space to the building in order to add many more displays. The new exhibits include Animal Kingdom, 911 Memorial, High-Performance Machines, NASA Exploratory, World Leaders, Gangsters of Prohibition, John F.
