Fiona Apple reached out to Sinead O'Connor following the Irish music icon's raw, emotional cry for help on Facebook.

In an intimate video filmed in her bedroom, Apple called O'Connor her "hero" and expressed her desire to "be of some use."

"I want you to know that you are my hero, as well," Apple says in the heartfelt clip. “I just saw the video of you and I don’t want you to feel like that. I don’t want you to feel like that."

"You’ve given so much," she adds, "And I wish I could be there. I wish I could be of some use to you. I wish I could... I’m your friend—that’s all I want to say—and you’re my hero."

On August 3, O'Connor shared a heart-wrenching video on Facebook, detailing her struggle with mental illness, suicidal thoughts and being abandoned in the hopes that her personal journey and openness could help someone.

Captioned "I Made This Video Because I Am One Of Millions," O'Connor asked, "Why are we alone? People who suffer from mental illness are the most vulnerable people on Earth. You’ve got to take care of us. We’re not like everybody."

"I just want to make this video so you all could see what the f--- it’s like," she continued. "It’s the stigma that’s killing people, not the mental f---ing illnesses…If you have a family member that suffers from mental illness, care for them, tenderness, love, care for them. Visit them in the hospital, don’t dump them in the hospital and bugger off."
