Four score and 208 years ago, Abraham Lincoln was born in a log cabin in Hardin, Kentucky.

Most Americans think, or used to think, that Lincoln was born in Springfield, but it wasn't until he was 21 that he actually moved to Illinois and worked as a shopkeeper, postmaster and a general store owner before becoming a lawyer and eventually the president of the United States.
