Four of America’s Most Miserable Sports Fanbases Are In Illinois
The Chicago Cubs won the World Series in 2016; what gives?
As a Cubs fan, it would be nice if they won it all again, but I can die knowing they at least won it once in my life.
I'm not entirely sure why Cubs fans were included on this list of the "most miserable fanbases in sports."
The list covers pro and collegiate sports. It says Cubs fans rank 42nd overall, right after Ohio State University and Mississippi State University.
That's not all, though, because the Chicago Bulls are ranked 31st, and the Chicago Bears are ranked 26th.
However, there is one team whose fan base in Illinois is even more miserable than the Bulls, Cubs, and Bears combined.
Here's a hint: they are so bad that even their fans are denying there's a team.
I saw an article where the writer said they hope they keep their manager for the rest of the season because he doesn't deserve the mess he's made for someone else to clean up.
In case you're wondering, I'm talking about the dreadful Chicago White Sox. It's not midway through June, and the team is already nearing 50 losses.
With a record of 17-49 and having just ended a lengthy losing streak, there doesn't seem to be much light at the end of the tunnel.
That said, while the Sox stink, their fans can at least rest easy knowing they aren't considered the most miserable fanbase in sports because they ranked 21st overall.
The most miserable fanbase in all of America? The New York Jets.
