It's never to late in the week to learn some worthless trivia so here goes, did you know that this oft traveled road in Rockford is the longest street in town?

Well it's true. The longest road in Rockford actually has two names too.

Figure it out yet? The longest road in town is State Street. People refer to it as East State and West State and Business 20. Which after further review is actually U.S. Route 20.

So where does State Street start and stop? If you take State west out of town towards Winnebago it officially stops being a Rockford street at Weldon Road. Going east, it stops right at Shaw Road.

The official length of State Street is 16.8 miles and according to Google Maps, a drive from one point to another would take you 50 minutes (43 without traffic).
