Have You Heard of the Town That Sucks The Most in Illinois?

Illinois has a lot to be proud of, but one town is so bad it's been claimed to suck more than any other town in the entire state.

It's not like we in Rockford were left unscathed either. Money Inc apparently wanted to say that we're the 16th worst place to live in Illinois.

The list also had mentioned Chicago as one of the worst cities in the state too so I'm not sure who I need to believe but whatever, that's their opinion.

Anyway, the town that sucks more than any other in Illinois is about 4 hours and 30 minutes from Rockford.

It's so close to St. Louis that it's practically Missouri. Don't believe me? When I wanted to find things to do in this town on Yelp, it directed me toward 10 things to do in "The Lou" instead of this place.

So maybe Centreville is the town that sucks the most in Illinois.

Is Centreville really that bad of a town or is it one that you considered more "down on its luck?"

It might be too late because Centreville officially doesn't exist. In 2021 it was merged with another town, Alorton, and renamed Cahokia Heights.

Maybe the name change can help the town out. Then again, actual Cahokia was named the 3rd worst place to live in state so maybe they need to reconsider the name again.
