As she was inflating her wheels, someone hopped in her car and took off. Her vehicle was stolen while she was filling the tires with air. What a low blow.

According to patch.com,

"Michelle Apeanyo told Homewood police she was filling up her car's tires with air at the Walmart at 17550 South Halsted Street when a person got inside her car and drove away. Apeanyo lost her purse and phone in the process."

Well, there is a lesson to be learned here. Do not leave your car running while you are filling up your tires with air. I give the thief a lot of credit. They had a lot of guts to pull that one-off.
