Huge Dinosaurs Have Flown Into Chicago’s Field Museum
After waiting over a year, scientists at the Field Museum got a gift so big that the front doors of the museum had to be removed to get it inside.
This new exhibit could overshadow Sue, the giant T.rex. So what arrived via an enormous semi yesterday? The flock of pterosauruses, with wingspans of over 35 feet and they look more like airplanes, according to wgntv.com.
The new additions were made possible by a $16 million gift from the Kenneth C. Griffin Fund. When it's all installed, there will be four hanging garden clouds, a giant garden dome with vines reaching toward the floor and 12 pterosauruses flying over Máximo the titanosaur.
