A voluntary recall of a popular new phone has consumers scrambling with what to do next.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and a battery that has been referred to as "fire prone" is being recalled. That's not all though, According to CNN Money:

The Federal Aviation Administration on Thursday advised airline passengers to not use or charge their Note 7s on board an aircraft and not to stow the phones in checked baggage."

That's bad news for travelers, but good news for Samsung. The FAA may have saved them from an embarrassing government recall which would in effect outlaw the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

Worse yet, ABC 7 in Chicago is now saying:

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is urging Samsung Galaxy Note 7 users to immediately power down and stop using or charging their devices following recent reports that their batteries can cause fires."
