Illinois voters will head to the polls twice in 2026. The General Primary Election is March 17, 2026, with polls open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The General Election follows on November 3, 2026.
The March primary determines party nominees, while the November election decides who will ultimately serve. Voters are encouraged to confirm their registration status, verify polling locations, and review early voting options ahead of both elections.
