Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has signed into law, curbside pick up and delivery of your favorite cocktails. There are some restrictions though.

The State of Illinois has opened up another revenue stream for bars and restaurants struggling to stay afloat.

Remember those places you used to go, were they made that drink you could never duplicate at home? For me, it's Lucha Cantina's entire margarita menu. I'm only getting out of the pool to answer the door, and then straight back to deliver the joy to my crew in the water.

Some supper club fish fry wouldn't be right if you didn't have an old-fashioned poured by a bartender old enough to be your dad. Grab your fish fry to-go (with extra tartar sauce, of course) and some old-fashioneds for you and your boo.

This new law does come with some restrictions, and here they are:

  • Cocktails must be delivered by someone who is over 21, has been trained to serve alcohol and can verify the customer is of drinking age.
  • Must come in a sealed and labeled container that would indicate if it’s been tampered with en route.
  • They can’t be delivered via a third-party app
