Illinois Couple Competing in Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge

A former hair stylist and vet tech's two-year-old cookie business, that was inspired by someone's Instagram post, is going nationwide.

This story is a ream for so many people who have, or want to start, their ow business. One couple's hard work and talent is now getting them some big time global attention.

Sheldon Jordan and Brittney Dervin, launched their cookie business, Nicely Iced Chicago, out of their home just two years ago.

"I literally saw a picture on Instagram two years ago at the hospital in Skokie and I was obsessed,” Dervin said. "I had never seen anything like that before.”

At that moment, Brittney went home to sell Sheldon on the idea and he was all on board, according to wgntv.com.

Nicely Iced Chicago's work has gotten them a spot competing in the Food Network's Christmas Cookie Challenge. Tune in to see how they do on December 9.
