Illinois Is One The Most Work-Related Stressed States In The US
A new study revealed the most and least stressed states in America.
Stress levels are high everywhere across the country at the moment but apparently some are better at dealing with it than others.
Illinois ranked as the 24th most stressed-out state in the country. So we're somewhere in the middle when it comes to stress, but when it comes to work, hoo boy.
A closer look at the rankings shows Illinois is in the top 10 when it comes to work-related stresses.
WalletHub used 7 different metrics to come up with a score for work-related stress.
- Average hours worked per week
- Average commute time
- Average leisure time spent per day
- Job security
- Unemployment rate
- Underemployment rate
- Income growth rate
Add all those up, and Illinois was declared the 7th most stressed out when it came to working.
Interestingly, Illinois was the only state in the midwest in the top 10. Are you surprised by WalletHub's findings?
