A pie that weighs 10 pounds and the size of a table is featured at Illinois pizza place.

I Love Pizza

If I had to pick one food to eat for the rest of my life, it would definitely be pizza. I absolutely love it. When the weekend rolls around, that is what I am ordering for dinner. Of course, leftovers for breakfast the next day.

Ordering Pizza

Luckily, Rockford has a bunch of great pizza places. I really enjoy mixing it up. Each week, I will pick a different place. That way I do not get burned out.

My rule is to go big or go home. So, I am not going cheap. It is all about getting what I want. That changes all the time too. I know I will always over-order. If the restaurant has some ridiculous size on the menu, plan on it coming home with me.

Best Food Deal In Wrigleyville

Going to a Chicago Cubs game could get really expensive. You have the tickets, parking, gas, tolls, souvenirs, and beverages.

It is an all-day event, so at some point, you are going to have to eat. The food at Wrigley is not very good and costs a lot of money. Definitely, not worth it. Most of the places around the stadium are not cheap. Plus, it is just too difficult to bring your own.

A few years ago, my friend took me to a place with the best deal in Wrigleyville and probably Chicago.

It was called Bacci's Pizza located at Sheffield, a block from the ballpark.

The only thing they served was a jumbo slice of pizza and soda. Check out a picture of it. I would guess it is about the quarter of a pizza.

The deal was $5 for that jumbo slice and a soda with free refills. It was funny because they did not have name brands on their fountain which featured "cola," "diet cola," "orange," "lemon-lime, and "rootbeer."

You can not get just a drink for that amount anywhere near there. Plus, it was really tasty. One slice and you were good for the day.

Bacci Lives

Unfortunately, it closed down. They probably could not pay their rent selling food that cheap. I thought that was the end of the era, but I was wrong.

Bacci Pizza actually has multiple locations in the Chicago area.

  • 4367 N Milwaukee Ave in Chicago
  • 2301 W Taylor St in Chicago
  • 2557 N Halsted St in Chicago
  • 1100 IL-83 in Bensenville
  • 9607 Lawrence Ave in Schiller Park

More Than Just Jumbo Slices

I also discovered the other locations serve more than just those huge pieces.

Their menu features salad, pasta, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, pizza including hand-tossed, Chicago-style, specialty pies, Meat Lovers, and BBQ chicken.

What they are known for is their massive size pizza.

According to onlyinyourstate.com,

"Well, at 2.5 feet, it's probably safe to say it's bigger than the table. The jumbo pizza also weighs in at a whopping 10 pounds. Imagine seeing this massive pie placed on your table."

It will feed eight to twelve people. You can add any toppings. By the way, the next size smaller pizza is thirty inches.

Better bring your appetite.
