Illinois State Fair to Require Proof of Vaccination For Entrance
If you planned on heading out to the Illinois State Fair coming up, be sure to pack a mask.
While you're at, bring your COVID-19 vaccination card too.
That's because you're gonna need it if you're interested in hanging out at the grandstand track area.
According to the Illinois State Fair website:
Ticketholders in the grandstand track area (also known as Standing Room Only) will be required to provide a print or digital copy of personal Vaccine Card, Vaccine Record, or Negative COVID-19 test within the 72 hours preceding the concert. Masks will be provided at the grandstand upon entrance as well as in other locations throughout the fairgrounds and must be worn over the nose and mouth indoors and for the duration of all grandstand performances.
This year, there's a decent lineup performing at the Grandstand, including classic rock vets, Sammy Hagar, Bret Michaels, George Thorogood, and country stars, Toby Keith, Kane Brown, and Brett Young.
There's also an I Love The 90s Tour stop at the Illinois State Fair. Vanilla Ice, Naughty By Nature, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Coolio, Tone Loc, Rob Base, All 4 One, and Young MC.
With a lineup of that size, the music itself makes this a great event to hit up.
Admission into the fair is $10 for adults and kids up to age 12 are free.
The Illinois State Fair is located at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, 801 Sangamon Avenue, in Springfield. The fair kicks off on Thursday, August 12, and runs through Sunday, August 22.
