Illinois Talk Show Names Best Dessert in The Area

February means cold temps, big football games and a TON of desserts, but who makes the best desserts in the Stateline? We may have found out.

Sweets, desserts, confections, cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, cupcakes, candy, creme brulee, funnel cakes, it's all delicious and we should spend more time talking about them!

I for one, do spend a lot of time talking about this food category. If I didn't NEED to eat real food, I probably wouldn't.

Sweets are just so much more fun than anything else.

So when I was given the task to taste the Stateline's Best Sweets for Good Day Stateline, I did not hesitate to say yes.

The tough part would be picking a winner, but I didn't have to do that, it was up to the votes that came in at GoodDayStateline.com.

We traveled to five sweet spots in the Stateline to see if we could find a winner: Halo Bakeshop, Pastries By Chad, Cookies By Design, Mac Brothers Artisan Cheesecakes and TNT Funnel Cakes.

It was a CLOSE race, but we had to find a winner.

The winner this time around is... Mac Brothers Artisan Cheesecakes!

These guys whip up 35 different cheesecake flavors and you can stop by and grab a slice from their cooler whenever you need one.

The winning flavor is Turtle, but I have a feeling you will enjoy any of their choices.
