January is National Soup Month, which means we have to know, who makes the best soup in the Stateline?

Lucky for you, I've done the research.

Let's face it, soup is one of the most perfect foods on the planet. It's mostly warm but could be served cold.

It could be an appetizer or a main course.

It could also be a snack! Or if you're really a soup lover... breakfast? I'm positive I've had soup for breakfast before, because I am an extreme soup lover.

Which is why I'm not allowed to vote in these contests. However, you are, and so many people actually did!

At Good Day Stateline we had the chance to visit four delicious soup locations, Mary's Market, Alpine View Restaurant, Mr. C's and the winner of the Stateline's Best Soup... Fritz's Wooden Nickel in Stillman Valley!

The best part of this competition is that we got to try so many different soups, and Fritz's Wooden Nickel was the only place that offered up chicken noodle as 'the best.'

And they won.

So, it looks like when it comes to a perfect food like soup, you don't mess with the basics.

The others were so good too! I recommend you make a stop at all four of these places while the soup weather lingers and make sure to order the chili at Mr. C's, the Rueben at Alpine View, the sweet potato tomato at Mary's Market, and that perfect chicken noodle at Fritz's Wooden Nickel.

What's your favorite soup?
