Illinois Teacher Recognized For Her Love & Passion For Education
We have incredible educators in the Stateline. Students, friends, spouses, and even parents write in every week to tell us about their favorite teachers!
Over at one Stateline school, we've made a visit a handful of times and the streak continues with another Teacher of the Week!
Congratulations to 97ZOK Teacher Of The Week
Amy Prater from Cherry Valley Elementary.
Amy was nominated by a student and her mother. The letter is so sweet:
"Each week while driving my daughter to school we hear the teacher of the week announcement. Over and over again my daughter says her teacher deserves to be the teacher of the week. I could not agree more.
Mrs. Prater makes her classroom a fun and safe environment. My daughters love going to school and it has so much to do with the love and passion Mrs. Prater shows in her classroom. As a mom who wants her daughter to do her best Mrs. Prater is constantly in communication with me about goals, achievements, and offering more support we can implement at home.
She strives to have each student do their best and celebrate any victory big or small. In the words of my daughter Madelyn, Mrs. Prater deserves to be recognized and get teacher of the week because she is nice, let’s us party for special days, and greats us with hugs every morning.
Mrs. Prater thank you for all you do to make school a fun, safe, and exciting place to be. We appreciate and notice all you do!"
If there's a teacher in your life who deserves recognition because they're just that amazing at what they do in the classroom, tell us about them - we want to surprise them with gifts!
As Teacher of the Week, Amy was surprised with a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and money to spend at WM Day Spa Salon.
