What's bigger than a championship football game and Rihanna concert? Getting proposed to smack dab in the middle of the show.

Once upon a time, last year during the Super Bowl, two people decided to watch the game together.

Those two people were Derek and Deanna.

Fast forward to last night, also the Super Bowl... and the two of them got engaged because of a commercial that aired just before Rihanna took her elevated stage to show off her baby bump and perform almost all of her greatest hits.

We're sad you missed Disturbia, Ri-Ri, but we LOVE you and your performance anyway.

Derek was the winner of the FOX39 Super Propsal, a contest he entered a few months ago to win money toward an engagement ring and a chance to propose during the Super Bowl here in the Stateline.

Derek was sure Deanna would say yes and thought that he would try to throw her off by explaning that the TV cameras were at their Super Bowl party because he was in a contest to win tickets to next year's game.

We're pretty sure he 'won' something way better!

Deanna said yes, captured by Eyewitness News anchor, Taylor Castro who shared the news with Eric Wilson and Mimi Murphy after the game Sunday night.

And... if you want to really get to meet the newly engaged couple, be sure to watch Good Day Stateline on FOX39 Tuesday -- VALENTINE'S DAY-- at 5:30 and 11pm!
