It's not very often you get to brag about Illinois, but here we are.
I'm not saying I'm unhappy about The Land of Lincoln. I quite like it here.
I moved away in the 2000s and returned just a few years later.
My wife and I started a family here in the Midwest and yada yada.

What I'm trying to say is something I've known all along: Illinois is a decent place to raise a family.
WalletHub backs me up on this one, too, as it ranked the Prairie State as the seventh-best state in America to bring up a baby.

Ranking second in America in Family Fun, along with 11th for Education and Child Care and 12th for Affordability, there are plenty of reasons to enjoy your time in Illinois.
Let's say you've had it and want to move to Wisconsin. The results are pretty much the same as those of Wisconsin, which was called the 8th best state in America for raising a family.
