Illinois Woman Dyes Dog’s Fur & The Internet Doesn’t Know How To React
A lot of people go over the top for Christmas, but this Illinois woman has taken it to a whole new level of getting into the Holiday spirit.
It's pretty tradition in a lot of households to wear matching ugly sweaters for the Holidays, and that includes your pups, too!
One Rockford woman took that a step further and turned her dog into the Grinch.
Ashley Spielmann, known as @mondaygray on TikTok, shared photos and videos of her adorable dog with all of his fur dyed red, white, and green to match the fictional character from the famous film 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas.'
The video racked up 7.6 million views in a single day. HOLY CRAP!
There's no wonder why this video went viral... take a look:
Ashley told me she has had him since he was a puppy, so this is the first year she has dyed its fur for the Holidays. She hopes to "start a trend to see little Grinches all around."
"We only go to one groomer [Muddy Paws Grooming] every 6 weeks or so for our pup and I've seen her do other colors on dogs before so since I love the grinch and Christmas and he has the perfect grinch face I asked her and she jumped on it and ordered the dye and we did it."
So many people on the internet have such mixed feelings about the entire idea behind dyeing an animal's fur coat.
They have valid reason to considering this isn't something you see on the daily.
Others had different opinions:
Ashley said she wanted to share her pup's photos with the world because he looks so handsome, but slowly noticed it sparked some controversy.
He will stay dyed as the Grinch through Christmas and it will slowly fade out until his next groomer's appointment. Rest assured, the dye is pet-friendly!
