Illinois Woman Hits Husband With Pan After he Wouldn’t do Dishes

One time in college my roommate left for the weekend and the sink was FILLED with her dirty dishes. So what did I do? I put them in her room. Shady? Yes. Effective? Very.

But one Illinois woman outdid me when it comes to making a point of washing dishes. One Illinois woman is facing a preliminary domestic battery charge after she apparently struck her husband with a pan because he wouldn't wash the dishes.

One word - Savage.

According to the Herald-Review, Decatur police arrested the 47-year-old woman shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday after the pair had argued about cleaning the house.

The man said the dispute began after he returned home about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the police report. His wife, angry that he had not washed the dishes or cleaned, began shouting at him, he told the responding officer.

Apparently after her husband "told her he wasn't going to wash the dishes or clean the house," she "threw water on him and hit him in the middle of his forehead with a dirty pan.

The woman was book at the Macon County Jail and released on $300 bail.
