Ever heard of Yuengling?  It's hitting shelves across Illinois and already made its debut in Rockford just a few weeks ago.

I've never heard people get so excited over a beer, until the news broke that Yuengling was coming to Illinois. It became available at bars and restaurants around Rockford, like CJ's Public House, in January, and now its headed to store shelves.

What is Yuengling?

Yeungling is a historic beer brand brewed by D.G. Yuengling & Son, the oldest brewery in the United States.  It was founded in 1829, it's family-owned, and has been crafting beers in Pottsville, Pennsylvania for nearly two centuries.

What does Yuengling taste like?

It's a smooth, medium-bodied amber beer with a sweetness that comes from roasted caramel malts, complemented by a blend of hops for a well-rounded taste.

I was at CJ's Public House in Rockford last weekend and I saw so many people drinking Yuengling.  I asked why everyone like it so much and they said, "It's tasty and nostalgic."

As a person who doesn't drink a lot of beer, but totally down to have a glass when it's offered to me, I loved the taste of Yeungling!  It was super subtle, not overbearing, had character, depth and I get why people are excited to see it hit shelves across Illinois.  I hopped on Facebook, people in my local Facebook groups were asking where to get it.
