Illinois Zoo Kicks off Spring with ‘Baby Goat Encounters’
Spring has sprung and warmer weather means some fun in the sun and maybe that means a trip to the zoo to see some goats!
I've always loved a trip to the zoo. Growing up that meant loading up the family in the car and driving to Brookfield Zoo.
To be completely honest, I'm not even sure I knew the Lincoln Park Zoo existed until I was in junior high and we had a field trip there.
You know what would've been nice? If I knew I could just have my parents drive in the opposite direction and go to the Summerfield Zoo instead!
It's amazing when you grow up in the suburbs how much you think places like Rockford and Belvidere are so far away, yet we drive over an hour to go to Chicago.
If you and your kids want to take a fun trip to Belvidere to the Summerfield Zoo this summer, they have a new experience, 'Baby Goat Encounters!'
Much like their other animal encounters, this experience is more than just visiting the animals for a minute or two.
When you purchase the encounter, you can feed the baby goats bottles and play with them, too.
These encounters are available from now until April 16, so you definitely want to book your timeslot soon, you can grab a four person slot for $125 when you email summerfieldfarmandzoo@gmail.com
