IMPRESSIVE: Flowers are Imitating Art at Illinois Art Museum
Everything's blooming in downtown Rockford including the artwork at the Rockford Art Museum.
You hear people say, 'there's nothing happening in Rockford,' and they are so wrong.
Sure, in the winter things die down a bit, but there are still plenty of things to do.
Skip to spring and we are loaded with events, especially in downtown Rockford.

This weekend the Rockford Art Museum is hosting what I think is the coolest exhibit I've ever seen.
It's called 'Art in Bloom,' and it's part of 'In Bloom' week at the museum.
The concept is so cool. Regional florists are given the task to create a floral arrangement to mimic a piece of art in the museum.
You'll walk in and begin to notice which arrangements match up with which pieces of art work and you'll be blown away.
The 'Art in Bloom' exhibit runs through this weekend and it's $10 to get in and check out the art. If you're a Rockford Art Museum member, it's just $5.
That's not all that's happening during 'In Bloom' week though, there's also a huge fashion show featuring models wrapped in floral arrangements tomorrow night within the 'Art in Bloom' exhibit.
It's called 'Fashion in Bloom,' and I can't wait to see the photos and videos from the event!

If you're reading this on Thursday, April 27, you also might still have time to pick up some stems for yourself outside the museum, it's their final flower bomb of the season.
