A new study ranked the 87 most popular dog breeds based on cost, intelligence, health  and lifespan, and I'm a little disappointed that Pugs were no where on this list!Border Collies ranked the number one breed to have according to the study.

I have a Border Collie mix, and I have to agree with this study. They are the most intelligent, live lengthy lives, are cheap to take care of, and are easy to groom.

English Cocker Spaniel, Papillon, Australian Cattle Dog and Shetland Sheepdog are also on the top dog list.

When it comes to the worst breeds, the Bulldog ranked number one because they tend to be less intelligent, only live an average of six years and have a ton of health issues.

Irish Wolfhound, Chow Chow, St. Bernard and  Mastiff were also on the worst breed list.
