Scenic Wine Trail Runs Through Iowa, Minnesota, & Wisconsin

Have you ever heard of the Great River Road Wine Trail? According to the official website, "the Great River Road Wine Trail is a collection of eleven wineries all located near the Upper Mississippi River in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa." Each of the locations has delicious wine, and the drive offers some gorgeous river views!!

If you were to start the trail in the state of Iowa, your first stop would be Eagles Landing Winery in Marquette. Eagles Landing is a is a small, family-owned winery with a pet-friendly patio and a variety of white, red, and fruit wines. According to their website, ​they are currently producing 36 different wines! They also serve stone-fired pizzas on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The winery's hours are Sunday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Eagles Landing is actually the only Iowa winery on the list before you head to the next stop in Wisconsin. The rest of the trail is as follows:

• Branches Winery - Westby, Wisconsin
  • Opens for the season on April 6th

  • Open May through September
