Yes, Southern Illinois, ISU, and U of Illinois have quite the reputation.

But here's the thing - it's not all about getting drunk. Sure, there are some folks who take it too far, but for the most part, the drinking culture in Illinois is about community. It's about getting together with friends and family, sharing some laughs, and enjoying life.

But have you ever heard of a "sober dive bar" in Illinois? A dive bar without alcohol?  Seems like a trip to Chicago without a stop at Gino's East...but I could be wrong.
