Pizza Hut Tops Minnesota's Most Trusted Restaurant List In 2026

There are a lot of restaurants in Minnesota, but this familiar chain is now the one that Minnesotans say is the most trusted in the entire state.

Minnesota may be known for having a lot of lakes-- 11,842 according to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR)--, but we also have a lot of restaurants. And while it may not be 11,000, an online database, PoiData, says that the North Star State is currently home to nearly 5,900 restaurants, with approximately 5,889 operating statewide in 2026.

Only ONE of those nearly 5,900 restaurants, though, is the Most Trusted. And, it's a familiar chain that took the title here in the Gopher State. Here's how the number-crunchers over at Clarify Capital came up with the results.

How Researchers Ranked Minnesota's Most Trusted Restaurant Chains

Clarify Capital said: 'To determine which U.S. industries and businesses are the most trustworthy, we consulted the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and then surveyed over 1,000 Americans about their opinions about different industries and specific brands,' the survey noted.

And when it comes to restaurants, they used those same procedures to determine a list of the Most Trusted Restaurant Chains in Minnesota, which includes some familiar names:

Chipotle Mexican Grill
Sonic Drive-In
Panera Bread
KFC
McDonald's

The Most Trusted Restaurant Chain in Minnesota Is Pizza Hut

But with a 40 percent approval rate on their trustworthiness, the title of Most Trusted Restaurant Chain in Minnesota goes to:

Pizza Hut!

That's right, the Pizza Hut website says the familiar chain was founded in 1958 in Wichita, Kansas, and was called 'Pizza Hut' because the original sign only had room for eight letters. Today, Pizza Hut has more than 16,000 restaurants and 350,000 team members in more than 100 countries.
