A pair of men from Wisconsin learned a valuable lesson about the United States Postal Service, and there are definitely some items that you can't send through the mail.

You Can't Send Illegal Drugs Through The Mail Even In Wisconsin

Many years ago, I heard about a guy who used the United States Post Office as basically his drug mule. He would receive a couple of pounds of cannabis in the mail each month. Then, he would divide it up and sell it. He even had customers out of town that he would then, in turn, mail smaller amounts of marijuana to them. He got away with it for a few months, but eventually it all caught up with him; he was arrested and went to jail for a long time. You can't send that stuff through the mail.

According to the Janesville Gazette Extra...

A yearslong investigation led to the arrest of a Janesville man after he allegedly used the U.S. Postal Service to deliver cocaine.

According to a criminal complaint, a U.S. Postal Inspection Service Task Force officer received a tip from the Janesville Police Department that an informant told officers cocaine was being sent through the mail from Puerto Rico to a Janesville Street address.

A similar situation happened up in Janesville. In this case, it was a little bit more severe. One of the guys was going down to Puerto Rico. Once there, he would mail cocaine to one of his acquaintances in his neighborhood. The police got a tip about the crime, so they started surveillance on the suspects. As soon as they collected enough evidence, they made the arrest. Those two fellas are going to jail for a while. They've learned that you can't send illegal drugs through the mail.
