This Illinois Corn Maze Was Already Honoring Dolly Parton Before Her Death
I don't know about you, but I'm still having a hard time processing the news that Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80.
In my mind, Dolly Parton was going to live forever. Dolly was larger than life. She was funny, beautiful, incredibly talented, generous, and was still one of the most down-to-earth and kind people you could ever hope to meet.
The world will have a lot less sparkle without Dolly in it, but I have no doubt her light and life will continue to inspire generations to come.
Illinois Corn Maze Honoring Dolly Parton
As I was scrolling social media today watching and reading tributes to the iconic Dolly Parton, I came across a bittersweet post from All Seasons Apple Orchard in Woodstock, Illinois.

Less than 24 hours before Dolly's passing, All Seasons Apple Orchard revealed that this fall's corn maze design would be celebrating America's 250th anniversary by "honoring a true American treasure in our country music corn maze designs, the one and only Dolly Parton!"
This year's corn maze design at All Seasons Apple Orchard is a collaboration with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, and it was in the works well before the heartbreaking news of Dolly's passing.
What started as a fun fall tribute to a country music legend, suddenly became something much more meaningful.
Dolly wasn't just a country singer.
She was Dolly.
The hair. The rhinestones. The perfectly delivered one-liners. The unmistakable laugh. The big personality. The even bigger heart.
Dolly's philanthropy has become one of the most important parts of her legacy. Her Imagination Library has provided millions of free books to children all over the world. Her charitable work also extended to education, disaster relief, medical causes and countless other efforts to help people who needed a hand.
That's what makes this corn maze feel so fitting.
I believe Dolly Parton would love being honored by families having fun together, with kids laughing and learning in a special place celebrating her.
