In case you missed it, the Women's Baseball World Cup Group Stage will be taking place in Rockford this July, and we all have the chance to be a part of it!

If you had told me a few years ago that I’d have two daughters excited to apply three different types of sunscreen while watching amazing women athletes play baseball in Rockford this summer, I would’ve said, "yeah, right", but here we are!
This July 22–26, 2026, the Women’s Baseball World Cup Group Stage will take place in Rockford, and yes, it’s exactly as cool as it sounds.
This tournament is basically the Olympics of women’s baseball, featuring national teams from around the world competing at the highest level. It’s run by the World Baseball Softball Confederation and is considered the most prestigious event in women’s baseball.

This is the first time Illinois has ever hosted the Women's Baseball World Cup, and only the second time it’s been in the United States. So yeah, Rockford isn’t just hosting a tournament…we’re hosting history, and you can get an up-close experience with all the action!
Volunteers Needed For the Women's Baseball World Cup in Rockford
All of the Women's Baseball World Cup games will be played at Rivets Stadium in Loves Park, but events and activities will be happening all over Rockford, including historic Beyer Stadium, home of the International Women's Baseball Center.
It's going to take a lot of volunteers to help make this event a success, and signups are now open!
